Cyberbullying or online bullying is an aggressive action or behaviour that is carried out using electronic means. These incidents occur through personal devices (mainly), however the fallout and consequences of cyberbullying often filter into the school environment. It is important to prepare students to notice and respond to online bullying (cyberbullying). 68.9% of students who participated in FUSE reported increased confidence in their ability to recognise online bullying behaviour.
Students should be enabled to:
- Identify and list different examples of online bullying behaviours
- Learn to spot the signs to notice online bullying behaviour
- Learn why an online bullying related incident should never be ignored
- Know what to do when they notice online bullying happening either to themselves or another student
