Dr. Majella McSharry an Assistant Professor in DCU School of Human Development and a Research Fellow in the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre. Majella is currently the Chairperson of the Professional Master of Education. Majella is also a member of the Regional Centre of Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development (RCE Dublin) and the Ubuntu Network. Majella has worked as a secondary school teacher and previously as a lecturer at Maynooth University, the National College of Art and Design and St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra. Her main research centres on the construction and articulation of gender through embodied praxis, as well as stigma, body and bullying, with a current research project “The Construction and Categorisation of Red Hair in School and Social Contexts” on which she is collaborating with Dr. James O’Higgins Norman.
