Register for the DCU, BeFore project- Anti-Bullying Education for Sports Coaches, Strategies for Prevention and Inclusion Conference Online.

The BeFore project – Anti-Bullying Education for Sports Coaches Conference aims to bring academics, sports organisations, policymakers and members of all sporting communities together to tackle bullying. Focusing on improving behaviours, fostering inclusion at the gender, special needs, migrants and minorities levels.

We are delighted to welcome Michael McGeehin, Director of Sport Ireland Coaching to launch the project.

We are joined by guest speakers:

Dr Olivia Hurley, Lecturer / Assistant Professor of Psychology and Sport Psychology (IADT, Dun Laoghaire) . Olivia’s presentation will focus on the theme: To have fun and thrive, not just survive: Creating challenging, supportive, sport environments.

Dr Hannah McCormack, Tackle Your Feelings Campaign Manager Rugby Players Ireland. Hannah’s presentation will focus on the theme: Creating positive mental wellbeing environments in sport.

Brenda O’Donnell, Strategic Operations Manager for Cara Sport Inclusion Ireland. Brenda’s presentation will focus on the theme: Strategies for inclusion of people with disabilities.

This is an Erasmus+ project led by DCU with project partners University of Limerick, Universidad De Murcia Spain, Stiftelsen Friends Sweden, European Network of Sport Education Austria and Sport Ireland.
