The Observatory held the first in a series of webinars in December 2021. The theme of the webinar was cyberbullying and gender-based abuse online. We were joined by two guest speakers: Dr Debbie Ging (DCU) who gave a talk on “Gender-based abuse online – shifting the focus from individual (re)actions to a discourse of social justice” and Professor Sameer Hinduja who gave a talk on “Cyberbullying: an update on the research, and what we can do”.
